At Positive Paws Dog Training

We believe every dog deserves the chance to learn in an environment where they feel safe and supported. That’s why we use only force-free training methods, creating happy, calm, and contented dogs.

Our sessions also include free work, a unique approach that helps parents/guardians better understand their dogs while fostering a positive and meaningful connection.

By training in this compassionate and engaging way, we empower both you and your dog to build a strong bond and enjoy the best possible life together.

Beginners Scent Workshop

Scent work, or nose work, is an engaging training activity that harnesses your dog’s incredible sense of smell to locate specific scents. This activity is not only mentally stimulating but also incredibly rewarding for dogs, giving them a productive outlet for their natural instincts.

Sensory Sessions for Dogs

In today’s fast-paced world, our dogs face more challenges than ever—busy streets, crowded spaces, constant activity, and bustling households. Dogs experience emotions deeply, but unlike us, they can’t rationalise or make sense of those feelings.

At Positive Paws Dog Training

We are a mother-and-daughter team with a shared passion for helping dogs feel safe, confident, and stress-free in their daily lives. We believe every dog deserves to learn in a way that nurtures trust and security, free from fear, anxiety, or stress. Our approach focuses on building a deep, calm connection between Guardians and their dogs, allowing them to create a strong bond and live their best possible lives together.

As dog training remains an unregulated industry, we place great importance on both qualifications and experience. Continuous professional development is at the heart of what we do—we are always expanding our knowledge, staying up to date with new research, and exploring alternative ways to support Guardians and their dogs. A thorough understanding of Positive Reinforcement and its application is essential to our training methods, ensuring a positive and effective learning environment.

We are also both certified in Canine First Aid, ensuring that we are prepared to respond in any emergency and prioritize the well-being of the dogs we work with.
